Most major diets lead to faster weight loss than my program. (Here’s why I’m happy about that.)

It’s common to see diets/weight loss programs with claims like “lose 30 lbs in 30 days” or “lose 10 lbs in one week”.

With my program, you will not lose 30 lbs in 30 days. You won’t lose 10 lbs in your first week. In fact, My clients tend to lose 9-10 lbs in their first month.

Sherry just crossed the one-month mark with us. She’s only lost 4 lbs but is happy about it. Let me explain.

This is a good thing for three reasons:

1️⃣ If you lose weight too quickly, you will lose lean body mass.

If you lose lean body mass, you will not achieve the lean, toned body you’re looking for.

Losing lean body mass will also slow down your metabolism, making it harder to keep the weight off.

2️⃣ Most diet companies get these results by putting you on a very restrictive diet.

If you’re following a diet that’s overly restrictive, it will be unsustainable. You’ll eventually feel deprived and quit.

Your metabolism is also slowed due to the aggressive approach used. The loss of lean body mass has slowed your metabolism even more. So when you do quit, you’ll regain the weight, plus some.

3️⃣ There’s a huge difference between WEIGHT loss and FAT loss.

Let’s say Sandra loses 12 lbs of fat and gains 7 lbs of lean body mass. She has only lost 5 lbs on the scale.

Now, let’s say Jim loses 12 lbs of fat and loses 3 lbs of lean body mass. He lost 15 lbs on the scale.

Sandra has made much better progress, yet Jim has lost three times more weight on the scale. Our clients gain a lot of muscle tone, so the scale moves slower.

This is what we want. When people come to us they always say they want to be “lean”, “toned”, “fit”, or “muscular”. No one ever tells me they want to look scrawny.

Some companies (including one diet company that’s very popular right now) understand lifting weights slows down the scale. They tell you not to lift weights because they want the scale to move faster.

Back to Sherry. 4 lbs doesn’t sound like much but in that time, she’s lost FOUR INCHES off her stomach, her clothes are fitting better, and she feels stronger.

Even though she’s lost a significant amount of belly fat, the scale has barely moved because she’s gaining muscle almost as fast as she’s losing fat.
